Case study: Jamfee

Promo: 'Timeless'
We created a promo video for Jamlee's new single 'Timeless' for broadcast on Sky, Virgin and Freeview. The promo tells the story of a couple, set in the present and in their 'forever yours' future, and is set at the end of a night out as the couple return home. It was a 3-day shoot, a 4-day edit and about 3 days of pre-production.

The challenge

Jamlee is a British born musician, radio and TV entertainer, with a distinct tone of voice and has performed on stage and screen in the fields of music, health & lifestyle (with a background in the healing arts), and also film and a comedy series.

Our task

Our goal was to create a promo with a strong narrative feel, increase engagement with his musical persona and to help launch the new single.

How we helped

We created this four-minute promo. Shot in Cheltenham, we assembled a cast of four and a crew of four, with a creative planning team of two.

Outcomes

The single was released in 2017 and was aired by Sky, Virgin and Freeview in a range of music shows.

  1. Shoot moonlight at noon - we shot ours at 1pm in sunlight and got nice crisp 'moonlight' shadows
  2. Keep the crew small if you need to work fast
  3. Location can define the plot - we chose this house and worked the plot backwards
  4. Shoot the closeups multiple times - gives you loads of lip-sync cover in the edit
